Play is a tool children use to invite us into their world, allowing us to see things in the way they do. Just as adults have seasons in life of feeling overwhelmed and search for guidance with a safe place to process life, children do too. Children will often communicate their anxiety, grief, or frustrations through a variety of behaviors or emotions. Many parents reach out to me because they have noticed their children are struggling at school, struggling to fall asleep, or tendencies of lashing out. Play, art and stories are children’s way of gaining regulation and healing. I work with children 4 years of age and older, and open up a few spaces in my practice for Play Therapy. I operate out of a Synergetic Play Therapy lens which intertwines neurobiology, attachment and mindfulness within the play experience.

You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.
